Panaji: Goa Congress Legislator Blames 'Family Raj' for Losses

Panaji, Mar 6 (IANS): The first signs of bickering were showing in the Goa Congress with the party's decision to allot 33 percent of seats to the kin of sitting legislators being blamed for its poor showing in the assembly elections.

"Everyone knows which issues I was raising. You know what they are. The issue of family raj was most crucial which I think the people have not liked," Mauvin Godinho, a former election campaign chief of the Congress and one of those who have won, said.

Goa voted March 3 for a new 40-member assembly.
