Mumbai: ‘Veerakesari Kalavranda’ Celebrates 33rd Annual Day

Mumbai, Feb 27: The metro-based ‘Veerakesari Kalavranda’ organized its 33rd annual day celebrations at Dr M Vishveshwarayya auditorium of Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), on Sunday February 26.

Veerakesari Kalavranda president Ramesh K Shetty Payyar presided over the programme.

Kaup Bairuguttinar was the chief guest on the occasion. Sasikala R Shetty and entrepreneur Manjunath Bannur were the guests of honour.

Veerakesari Kalavranda felicitated Megha Surendra Kumar Hegde (sports), Pooja Devadiga (saxophone), and Srujan G Acharya (culture), for their achievements in their respective spheres.

Kalavranda joint treasurer Usha P Suvarna delivered the introductory address.  Honorary chief secretary Vishwanat Shetty Petri compered the programme.  Honorary treasurer Navin Gulibettu proposed the vote of thanks.

Tulu comedy play ‘Chalapati Kitapati’ by playwright Ramesh Shivapura and directed by Shailesh Suvarna was staged as part of the entertainment programme.  Anand Perdoor directed the music.  S T Vijay Kumar, Ashok Pakkala, Chandravati Juliet Pereira, Sudhish Hegde, Naveen K Karkera, Sujata Alva, Bhaskar Suvarna, Sasihitlu, Raghu Anchan, Navin Gulibettu, Mohan Suvarna, and Prakash Rai made up the cast of the play.
