Bantwal: St Lawrence School, Vijayadka Gets New Building

Bantwal, Feb 18: The new school building of St Lawrence Higher Primary and High School, Vijayadka, Karopady village was inaugurated here on Friday February 17.
 
Inaugurating the new building, Oscar Fernandes, member of Rajya Sabha said that education should foster creativity to enable students to achieve success in today's competitive world.

Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, bishop of Mangalore presided over the programme and blessed the new building. He said, "Let this education institution be useful for the society, with the co-operation of people belonging to all religions." He congratulated all all the people involved in the construction of the building.
 
Fr Wilson V D’Souza, secretary, Catholic Board of Education, Fr Gregory D’souza, vicar var, Mangalore South Varado, Sr Lenita D’souza, provincial superior, UFS, B Ramanath Rai, MLA, Bantwal, Krishna Bhat, CRP, Kanyana Cluster, Henri Plas, project director, World Servants, Netherlands, Gert Jan Vannes, set up leader, World Servants, Netherlands, Sam Rajshekar, country co-ordinator, World Servants, Netherlands, Shobha Louis, project manager, World Servants, Netherlands, were the chief guests.
 
Fr Peter Aranha, correspondent and parish priest, Leena D’Costa, headmistress of primary school, Jerome Monteiro, vice-president of parish council, Latha, SPL, primary school, Joyal V Monteiro, headmaster of high school, K Moosabba, president of PTA, Anitha D’Souza, SPL, high school, Rudolf Monteiro, secretary, parish council among others were present.

    Fr Peter Aranha, a silent worker brought real change in Vijayadka. i remember two years back i visited that parish and preached there. God heard the prayers of the people there and blessed with this. Simple and loving people, with asimple and loving pastor. CONGRATULATIONS it's a success of your hard work
