I have been an alumnus of Milagres College that instilled good values in me,” said TV actor and Tulu researcher Suryodaya Perampalli.
He was speaking after inaugurating ‘Arts Shine Oddolaga–2012’, Mangalore University (MU) inter-collegiate cultural competitions at Milagres College silver jubilee hall, Kallianpur, on Monday February 13.
Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association president Kiran Manjanabail was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Manjanbail said that the emphasis should be laid on pricking the conscience and these kinds of programmes will inspire the youth towards cultural splendor.
Milagres College principal Dr Neri Cornelio, in his presidential address, said that everyone has inherent talent and these kinds of programmes are being organized with the view of encouraging the students to explore their talent.
Milagres College correspondent Fr Stany B Lobo was also present on the occasion.
Famida and group rendered the prayers. ‘Oddolaga–2012’ convener Jayaram welcomed the gathering. Student co-ordinator Sandeep Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
