Kasargod, Feb 14: “Invisible forces are behind the law and order disturbance that occurred in and around the city recently,” said new SP S Surendran.
Addressing the media persons here on Monday February 13, new SP S Surendran after assuming the charge said that the role of vested interests behind creating law and order disturbance will be brought to light.
“String action will be taken against those who were responsible for causing the communal flare-up. Action will be taken to put an end to bootlegging and sand mining,” he added.
SP Surendran further said that owing to shortage of policemen in the district force, policemen from other districts were requisitioned to beef up security across the district. “Stringent action will be taken against forcibly closing shutters of shops, laying road-blockades, and obstructing the people from their right for free movement. A total of 38 cases have been registered related to law and order disturbances across the district,” he added.
