Kundapur: Car Jumps into Drain – Seven Injured

Kundapur, Feb 10: In an incident which occurred at Gote Cross near Lord Mahalingeshwara Temple in Idur-Kunjadi village in the taluk on Thursday February 9, a car jumped into a roadside drain after its driver lost control. Seven persons, who were travelling in the ill-fated car, were injured.

Assistant development officer in the regional office of Rubber Board here, Balakrishna S, had travelled in the car for inspecting rubber plantations. Along with Balakrishna, Manju M J, Parameshwaran, Sudhakar Tiruppede, Abraham, Haridasan, and Bhaskaran, suffered injuries of various degrees. The car was badly damaged in the accident.

The injured were treated at the local hospital. A case was registered in Kollur police station.

    I feel what had happend here is overspeeding. We all should be very careful not to overspeed when we are driving especially when we are driving at night. Luckily god saved all here But it may not happen all teh time!!!
