Bantwal, Feb 6: A total of 1,446 both civil and criminal cases were granted justice in mega Lok Adalat that was held from August 2010 to Feb 3 2011, said senior civil judge K P Dinesh.
The judge K P Dinesh was speaking after inaugurating the valedictory of mega Lok Adalat here on Saturday February 4. The Adalat was jointly organized by taluk Legal Services Committee and Bantwal Bar Association.
Dinesh expressed happiness for securing third place in dispersal of justice in the entire state.
Civil judge Srinivas in his chief guest’s address said that Lok Adalat has proved the trust of people and lawyers in courts, while 1,446 families were gotten an opportunity to lead peaceful life, said Srinivas.
The additional civil judge Nagaraj S Ankasadoddi, assistant public prosecutor Jayaram Shetty, H R Sridar, Bantwal circle inspector Anil S Kulkarni, child project officer A Usman Karopady were the chief guests of the occasion.
Bar Association treasurer H Satish Rao welcomed the gathering. Vice president Satish proposed vote of thanks. Rajaram Nayak compered the programme.
