Beltangady: Accident at Kashibettu - Biker Crushed

Beltangady, Feb 4: Mudara Gowda (60), who was riding a motor bike, met with gruesome death in a road accident, which occurred on Friday February 3 at Kashibettu in Laila village in the taluk.

Mudara Gowda, resident of Kadanda House in Belalu village, had visited Beltangady for some work. When he was returning home in his motor bike, a Tata Sumo vehicle coming from the direction of Ujire hit his two-wheeler at Kashibettu.

As soon as the motor bike and Gowda fell to the ground as a result, a tanker, which coming from the opposite direction, crushed both the motor bike and the Gowda’s head, resulting in his instant death. The tanker driver could not bring his vehicle to halt before the damage was done.

Mudara was an agriculturist, and was also active in social and political fields. He is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. Various persons including MLA, K Vasant Bangera, have condoled the death of Mudara Gowda.
