Mangalore: Kerala Ulema 85th Conference - Rally Reaches City

Mangalore, Feb 3: The 85th annual conference of Samastha Kerala Jamiyyatul Ulema is scheduled to be held at Kooriad Varakkal Mullakoya Tangal Nagar in Malappuram district, Kerala, between February 23 and 26. In this connection, a vehicular rally, which left Kanyakumari on January 23, arrived in the city on Thursday February 2.
On its arrival, the rally was received at Talapady by Shaikhuna Abdul Jabbar Musliyar Mittabail, member of Samastha Central Mushavar. He later flagged off a motor bike rally with 85 participants wearing uniforms, which started off from Jyoti Circle in the city.
Mittabail Ustad inaugurated the Samastha conference held later at Samshul Ulema Nagar on Nellikai Road near State Bank in the city, which was presided by Alhaj Twaka Ahmed Musliyar, member of Samastha Central Mushavar and Qazi of Dakshina Kannada district.
A number of religious leaders including Samastha vice president, M T Abdulla Musliyar, secretaries, Prof Ali Kutti Musilyar, Kotumala Bapu Musliyar, and Samastha Karnataka Mushavar president, Syed Zainul Abidin Tangal, addressed the conference.
Manjeshwar MLA, Abdur Razak, Kasargod MLA, N A Nellikunnu, Haji Ibrahim Kodijal, former city mayor K Ashraf, and a number of religious leaders and dignitaries were present at the dais.
Convener of Samastha 85 Reception Committee, Alhaj B K Abdulla Khadir Al Khasimi Bambrana, welcomed. S Abdull Khader Kadaba proposed vote of thanks.
