Mangalore, Feb 2: 'Innovision 2012' a two-day national-level fest organised for postgraduate students by the department of commerce, Besant Women's College was inaugurated here on Thursday February 2.
Senior manager of Canara Bank K Subba Naik inaugurated the event.
In his address, Naik said that events like fests provide a platform for students to display their skills and talents, and urged the participants to make best use of the opportunity. He also entreated the students to work hard and give their best in every task they undertake.
Women's National Education Society president Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy said that the College aims to empower women and enable them take rapid strides in the competition-driven world.
Principal Dr K T Manjula welcomed and staff co-ordinator Dr Carmelita Goveas proposed the vote of thanks.
A large number of students and faculty members were present.
