Udupi, Feb 2: “Brahmavar Friends will organize the Brahmavar Premier League (BPL) state-level ‘Meena Anmol Trophy–2012’ limited over cricket matches for the first time at Gandhi Maidan, Brahmavar, on Saturday February 4 and Sunday February 5. It is being organized to promote communal harmony among people of diverse faiths and religions,” said Tajuddin Ibrahim, chairman, Brahmavar Friends ‘Meena Anmol Trophy–2012’, at a press meet held here on Wednesday February 1.
Brahmavar circle inspector G krishnamurti will inaugurate BPL tourney at 8.00 am on Saturday.
Brahmavar S M S College principal Professor K Narayanan will preside over the programme.
Brahmavar sub-inspector Hosakerappa K, Varamaballi gram panchayat president S Narayan, Handady gram panchayat vice-president Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Rotary former governor Jnanavasant Shetty, Dr Varadan Kumar Shetty, United Kingdom, Malgudi Gladiators owner Rajesh Shetty Birti, Meena Anmol Challengers owner Muktar Honnala, Sneha Tigers owner Umesh Naik Cherkady, WES Royals owner Shabir Kunjalu, R K Tusker owner Rajesh Shetty Ranganakere, Jeerigehitlu Bulls owner Malcolm Monteiro Handady, Kushi Amar Warriors owner K P Ibrahim Matapady, and Brahmavar Night Riders owner Surya Salian Brahmavar will be the chief guests on the occasion.
Former state minister K Jayaprakash Hegde will preside over the prize distribution ceremony at 4.30 pm on Sunday.
