Mangalore: Fuddar Prathisttan Puraskar 2012 - Entries Invited

Mangalore, Jan 29: Fuddar Prathisttan, established to follow up the resolutions passed at the First World Convention of Kanara Konkani Catholic Community held at Mangalore in December 2004, will felicitate all students of Mangalore origin settled anywhere India and aboard, whose mother tongue is Konkani and who have excelled with ranks at the board/university exams.

The felicitation function will be held on February 26 at Milagres Jubilee Hall here.  Henry D’Souza, Bishop of Bellary will preside over the function.

All eligible students are requested to submit their marks cards duly attested, so as to reach the organisers on or before February 5.

About Fuddar Prathisttan

Fuddar Prathisttan was registered as a charitable trust in 2005. The present managing committee, which was elected at the last general body meeting held in September, 2011 consists of the following:

President John D’Silva, vice-president Fr Walter D’Mello, secretary L J Fernades, Treasurer Elroy K Crasto, members Walter C Pinto, Marrito Sequeira, Vally Vogga, Veronica Cornelio, Ignatius Monis, John Rebello, Patron  Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore.
 
During the last six years, Fuddar Prathisttan, through Catholic Sabha, Mangalore, which has its units in all parishes of Mangalore Diocese, has organized over 48 programmes with nearly six thousand participants. Since 2010, students who have excelled with ranks at the board/university exams have been felicitated every year, with a view to motivate them.
