Kasargod, Jan 29: “The role of teachers and parents in developing personality of the children is prominent,” said Kasargod vicar Fr Vincent D’Souza.
He was giving the presidential speech at the anniversary of Kayyar Don Bosco School on Saturday January 28.
Paivalike gram panchayat president Manikanta Rai, member Prasad Rai, retired teacher Suryanarayana Murthy, Kayyar church committee vice-president Pius D’Souza, PTA president Jagannivas Alva, MPTA president Anitha Suvaris, and alumni president Jorge D’Almeda were the chief guests.
Teachers Philomina D’Souza and Sr Veronica Juliyana D’Cunha, who will retire in March 2012, were felicitated by Fr Vincent D’Souza and Fr Anil D’Souza.
Prasad Rai, Pius D’Souza, Fr Vincent D’Souza, and Manikanta Rai felicitated the winners of the competitions and brilliant students.
Teachers Shalini D’Souza, Magdalin Crasta, Jayashree, Sr Monthi, and Anjalina D’Souza were present.
Headmaster Louis Monteiro read out the report. Anil D’Souza welcomed. Ciril Crasta delivered the vote of thanks.
Sr Sevrin D’Cunha and Peter D’Souza compered. The drama ‘Devathe’ was also staged. Entertainment programmes were presented by the students.
