Mangalore, Jan 22: After the culmination of the most popular National Youth Festival, Mangalore is ones again back to host another such event for children from all over the country.
The national level fest ‘Bal Bharat Srujanotsav’ will be organized in Pilikula Nisargdhama, Mangalore from January 22 to 25.
The event is also to mark the 25th year of the existence of Bhal Bhavan Society. As many as 3,000 children of 17 states are to participate in the programme. Among them 1,000 children will be from Karnataka, 300 from DK district and 100 from Udupi district.
20 teams of the DK district will perform the folk shows. The selection was based on the creative writing ability, scientific inventions, and their multi-talented skills.
CC Patil, minister of women and children welfare department will inaugurate the show which will be held at 5.30 on the day of January 22. J Krishna Palemar, DK district-in-charge Minister will preside over the ceremony.
Govind Karajol, Shobha Karandlaje, N Yogish Bhat, KT Shailaja, Nalin Kumar Kateel, K Abhaychandra and many others will be the dignitaries of the event.
A procession will take place from Vamanjur Circle at 3.30 to Pilikula Nisargadhama before the inaugural of ceremony.
The fest includes competitions such as painting, cartoon making, origomy art, greetings, magic, collage, folklore, kuchipudi, tribal and other kinds of dances.
Magic show by Kudroli Ganesh will also be a part of this great show, briefed Sulochana Bhat, president of Karnataka State Bhal Bhavan Society at a press conference held in DC’s office.
