Please put grills on your windows. Especially the ones in high rise apartment. Many families in Mangalore are kanjoos and don't want to spend on grills.

My sincere condolences to the bereaved family. The incident causes pain in every heart. May his soul rest in peace. He paid with his life for the ignorance of others. Have grills to all windows. The parapet in balconies should be 1.2 M high to prevent falls especially of children. Fire dept safety features should be strictly adhere to. . I hope they do.
