Bahrain, Jan 11: Kannadigas in Bahrain were treated to a top class entertainment at the Ramee Rasa Sanje held at the Indian Club here recently .
Well-known singer Anuradha Bhat, versatile entertainer Mimicry Dayanand and upcoming singer Deepak Doddera took the 1,000-strong audience through a four-hour journey of memorable music and rib-ticking humour.
Bahrain’s young Kannada talents also showcased their dancing skills at the show, a New Year treat for Kannadigas on the island.
While Anuradha and Deepak enthralled the audience with golden oldies and memorable recent hits, Dayanand filled the auditorium with laughter with his inimitable humour. It was indeed a 'rasdautan' for Bahrain Kannadigas.
The Ramee Rasa Sanje, an initiative of the Kannada-speaking members of the Indian Club and Namma Kannada Bahrain, a popular Facebook group, was hailed as a big success by the audience, who stayed beyond midnight to watch the show.
Noted Award winning Indian businessman and trustee of the New Mangalore Port, B M Farook, Mulki Seeme Arasaru Dugganna Savanth and Ramee Group of Hotels Group general manager Shantaram Shetty, were the chief guests at the event.
“You all were a wonderful audience. I can’t thank you all enough for your overwhelming support and love. I must say that the Kannadigas in Bahrain are the best when it comes to organising and hospitality. It’s nice to know that you all enjoyed the show. Will look forward to entertain you better in future", said Anuradha after the show.
Kamalaksha Amin former RJ of Radio voice and Vedha Mohan, a senior producer at 94.3 Radio One of Bengaluru, co-hosted the event. Austin Santhosh welcomed the gathering.
