Udupi, Jan 10: “In this competitive era, its essential for everyone to have perfection and excel in everything,” said state higher education minister Dr V S Acharya.
He was speaking after inaugurating the newly-built classrooms at Nukkoor Government High School located near Kokkarne on Saturday January 7.
“Since Karnataka has open choices for higher education, rural students have found overseas employment. The state administration has been striving for all round progress through several programmes,” added Dr Acharya. He announced Rs 2 lac for the upkeep of the school grounds on the same occasion. MLA K Raghupati Bhat presided over the programme.
ZP member Gopi K Naik, TP member Dr Sunita D Shetty, Kokkarne gram panchayat president Devaki S kotian, member Krishna Shetty, Brahmavar block education officer Nagesh Shanbagh, Sachin of Nirmiti Kendra, Marali Vittal Shetty, entrepreneur Balakrishna Shetty, Horlali Doddamane Rajeev Shetty, Hennimane Chandrashekar Shetty, Yajna Narayan Bayiri, and SDMC president Pratima H Shetty were present. Nukkoor High School headmaster Praveen Shetty welcomed the gathering, teacher Rajesh read the report.
Primary school head master H Mallikarjun assisted in the programme. Annual day celebration of both the High School and the Higher Primary School was held after the stage programme.
