Chamarajanagar, Jan 9: Four-time MLA from Chamaraja constituency in Mysore, H S Shakaralinge Gowda, whose wait in the wings for ministerial berth has caused enough frustration and heart burn for him, dropped broad hints at crossing over to JDS.
“BJP is an army of thieves. It is full of selfish people,” he announced, addressing the annual festival of Chamarajanagara Taluk Vokkaliga Youth Association held at J H Patel Hall here on Sunday January 8. While criticizing the party leaders and holding them responsible for leading the party on wrong path, he dropped broad hints at joining JDS shortly.
“BJP does not have any consideration for sincere people. It gives priority to selfish people, mining lords, and those who have lust for money. I have always been sincere to the party, but I was kept at a distance. Even they propped up my own son against me. I am not a power monger. I will soon leave BJP,” he announced.
He hailed former Prime Minister, H D Deve Gowda, as one of the best politicians he has seen. He said that Deve Gowda had also functioned very well as the Prime Minister, and hailed the way Gowda’s children have nursed their relationship with their father through thin and thick, wishing that it would have been nice if everyone had got such children.
His utterances gave clear clues about the path he will take in near future, away from BJP, towards JDS.
