Karkala, Jan 27: An Omni van caught fire on the Sanur Pulkere bypass in Karkala on Monday around 12 noon.
The incident occurred when Shekhar Hegde attempted to start the van, and flames suddenly erupted.
The fire quickly engulfed the entire vehicle.
The fire and emergency services personnel promptly arrived at the scene and carried out operations to extinguish the blaze.
