Mangaluru: Milagres Chruch organizes Parish Day

Mangaluru, Jan 27: The Milagres Church organised the Parish Day on January 26. The celebration began with the Mass celebrated by the parish priest and concelebrated with the priests of Milagres. The cultural programme was at the Milagres Church premises. The sisters under the parish invoked God's blessings through prayer song.

The vice president Sylvester Mascarenhas welcomed the assembly. The chief guest of the occasion, Chaveliar Clarence Pais was introduced by Dr Sandra Farias. The secretary read out the report of the activities of the previous year. The hostelers of Milagres nursing college entertained with a song. The whole parish was divided into four zones who presented 20 minutes each programme on different topics.

They were awarded trophies for their best performance. The chief guest highlighted the status Milagres parish. He also brought to the notice of the people his efforts to ease the issues and the cost factor on probation of the will. The parish priest appreciated the efforts of the parishioners and the leadership that has emerged through the performance arranged by the zones. All participated in the grand dinner organised on the occasion.
