M'lore: Fr Muller's Hospital Successfully Operates Filaria Affected Patient

Mangalore, Jan 5: The surgery department of Fr Muller Medical College hospital successfully treated a filaria affected patient of 12 years.

A 55-year-old man in the city was suffering from filaria since 12 long years. His left leg had been heavily affected with swelling and had also developed sores which was a hurdle in his day-to-day activities.

The surgeon in-charge Dr Eril Dais used 'Charles excision and skin grafting' technique on the patient thereby getting rid of 12 kg of extra growth on the left leg.

Post surgery, the patient has recovered and is also able to do his day to day work.
