Mangalore, Dec 29: The Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee observed ‘Congress Foundation Day’ at DKDCC office on Wednesday December 28.
KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza, speaking on the occasion, said that the Congress is a party that came into existence through struggles and movements. “The country enjoyed constructive development due to the administration of the party after independence. BJP later started playingpolitics in the name of religion and followed divide and rule policy. Congress has been uplifting the society with its people-friendly policies,” he added.
Congress leaders Kodijal Ibrahim, H M Ashraf, former MLA Vijaykumar Shetty, P V Mohan, Moideen Bava, T K Sudhir, and Mamatha Gatty were present.
