Udupi: Accident Near Saligrama Claims Two Lives - Pics

Udupi, Dec 26: In a ghastly accident that occurred near Devine Park, Saligrama (ahead of Brahmavar here) on early Monday December 26 morning, two persons died, one critically injured, while two others sustained minor injuries.
 
Narayana Ganiga (55), secretary of Kundapur Taluk Ganiga Samaja who was serving as a Shirastedar in a court in Kundapur and Prakash Ganiga (45) who was serving as the treasurer in Kundapur Taluk Ganiga Samaja are the deceased.

Ramesh Ganiga Kollur, president of Kundapur taluk Ganiga Samaja and of Byndoor Block Congress sustained critical head injury and also broken his nose.
 
Car driver Giridhar from Gangolli and Puttaiah Master who was in car sustained minor injuries.
 
All of them were returning from Bangalore by car after attending a convention of Ganiga Community on December 25.
 
The driver was said to be drowsy with sleep, and hit the KSRTC bus that was coming from the opposite direction.
