Beltangady: Town Panchayat Chief Officer Dismissed from Service

Beltangady, Dec 25: Through an order issued on Saturday December 24, director of municipal administration department has dismissed Bhojaraja, chief officer of the town panchayat here, with immediate effect.

It is learnt that when he was working at Udupi, Bhojaraja was caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police relating to a complaint of corruption. A case was registered by the Lokayukta police in this respect, and it is gathered that charges against the official have since been proved.

On the basis of the findings, he has been dismissed from service, sources added.
