Bantwal: Youth arrested for sexual harassing young girl

Bantwal, Dec 23: A youth allegedly sexually harassed a young girl who had come to watch the school anniversary programme. The incident came to light a bit late, following which the accused was arrested by a team led by Bantwal rural police station inspector Shivakumar.

The accused, identified as Jayantha, a resident of Navoor, is now in police custody. The victim filed a complaint at Bantwal rural police station, accusing Jayantha of forcibly having physical relations with her in the classroom of Navoor Primary School on December 14, when she had gone to participate in the school anniversary programme.

Rural sub-inspector Harish and his team apprehended the accused and produced him before the court. He has been sent to judicial custody.
