Mangalore: Workshop on Leadership Held at A J Institute of Management

Mangalore, Dec 20: Every person has a ‘leader’ within him which can be brought out or developed through proper guidance or training, said Prabhakar Neer Marga, assistant registrar, Mangalore University at A J Institute of Management here on Monday, December 19.

Delivering the inaugural speech at a day-long workshop on ‘Leadership and Team management’, he gave several instances of able leaders from national and international levels and stressed that a leader must have a firm goal to achieve, and he should  concentrate on it thoroughly which will help him reach it.

Dr Jayaprakash Rao, director of the institution presided and said that now-a-days it is a big challenge to manage the team at the working places due diverse backgrounds of the employees. He stressed the need to organize more training workshops in the institutions.

Prof Joslin Lobo, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya was the resource person for the workshop.  Dean Vijaya Kumar, Geraldine Fernandes of Grid Counseling institution were present. Dr Raveendra K, convener of the workshop introduced the guest and welcomed. Robin Raj compered the programme and Shabari Vinayak delivered the vote of thanks.
