Mangalore, Dec 18: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa who landed in Mangalore airport at 10.15 am on Sunday December 18 told reporters that he does not have any intention of becoming the president of the state BJP unit.
The final decision however will be taken by the party high command in Delhi, he added.
He expressed confidence that CM Sadananda Gowda will win the upcoming legislative election hands-down, adding that all MLAs are with the party.
About the verbal battle between Eshwarappa and Sriamulu, he said that he will speak to Sriramulu and sort out the issue.
It may be recalled that on his last visit a few days back, Yeddyurappa did not wish to speak to media. However, this time he seemed to be in a good frame of mind and interacted with the media openly.
After landing in Mangalore, he left for Polali temple. Later, he will visit Shree Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara temple and will halt in Mangalore tonight. On Monday December 19 he will go to Kalladka.
He was accompanied by Shobha Karandlaje. MLA Ganesh Karnik, B Nagaraj Shetty welcomed him at the airport.
