Sullia: Yogish Bhat Escapes Accident Near Peraje, Wife Injured

Speaking to Daijiworld, N Yogish Bhat said that by divine grace he escaped the accident without any major injury. He explained that he and his family members were going to Mysore to attend a programme. The accident occurred at around 11.15 pm last night when the driver lost control over the vehicle, which resulted in a skid.
"There was a river ahead, but at the right time the vehicle stopped after falling into a ditch which was around 15 ft deep. The door was locked and we had to break open the glass to come out. The people in escort vehicle came to our rescue, and local people also extended timely help," he said.
His wife who was inside was hurt and there was bleeding on her head. She was taken to Sullia government hospital and then brought to Mangalore.

Sullia, Dec 18: Deputy speaker of the state legislative assembly and MLA Yogish Bhat narrowly escaped injury on Sunday December 18 when the car he was travelling in turned turtle near Peraje here.
He was travelling from Mangalore to Mysore when the accident took place.
Six people including his wife Vijaya Bhat and other relatives were injured. All have been admitted to a hospital in Mangalore, it is learnt.
The accident took place at night when the driver lost control and the car skid off the road, sources said.
