Mangalore, Dec 18: “Former chief minister H D Kumarswamy had implemented several welfare schemes for the poor, needy, and backward people during his tenure. His model administration is needed in the state,” said M G Hegde, state JD(S) general secretary.
He was speaking at the 53rd birthday celebration of K D Kumaraswamy at Nantoor CARDTS Ashram on Saturday December 17. The day was celebrated by sharing food with children of the Ashram. Hegde conveyed best wishes for Kumarswamy’s future political career.
Shashiraj Shetty, district JD(S) general secretary, also shared his opinions that as far as leadership and ruling system for state development is concerned, Kumarswamy’s administration is needed. He said he desired to see Kumarswamy occupy the CM’s post again.
On the occasion, many party members and office-bearers were present. Besides providing food to children, a musical programme was also arranged. Aboobkar Natekal, general secretary, Vasant Pujari, Ram Ganesh, D M Salam, minority unit chief, A Gopal Krishna Attavar, J Mohmad, Kasim, and other state unit leaders participated.
