Puttur: Trailer Truck Topples; Driver Critically Injured

Puttur, Dec 15: The driver of a trailer truck was fatally injured when the vehicle rolled over the bridge located at Udane–Paravarakotya, near here, on Wednesday December 14.

The trailer was registered in Tamil Nadu and plying to Sakleshpur from Mangalore when it rolled over a gorge about 35 feet deep beside the Mangalore–Bangalore national highway along a curve near a bridge located at Udane–Paravarakotya.

As a result, the trailer driver 45-year-old Uday Kumar was critically injured.  The locals rushed to the spot and rescued him and admitted him to a private hospital in Mangalore.
