Spurious Liquor Kills Ten in Bengal

Kolkata, Dec 14 (IANS): Ten people died and five others were in serious condition after consuming spurious liquor in a West Bengal village Wednesday, police said.

The incident took place in Sangrampur village under Magraha -1 block in South 24-Parganas district. Magrahat is 52 km from Kolkata.

"Ten people have died and five more are serious. At least 90 people are hospitalised," district superintendent of police L.M. Meena told IANS by phone.

Those indisposed have been admitted in various hospitals, health centres and nursing homes.

The mishap occurred after the victims consumed country liquor Tuesday night at a hooch den near Sangrampur railway station.

"From around 2 a.m. Wednesday, people started vomiting and complained of serious stomach pain. Lot of people are still there in hospital. The toll will go up massively," said a Sangrampur resident.

Angry locals demolished the liquor den Wednesday morning. Senior district police officers are camping in the area, which is under the Diamond Harbour sub-division. A medical team has been rushed to the area.

Why were they Hospitalized...? We should let them die. As it is they didnt do anything heroic by drinking it.
These are the people who have spoiled the life of thousands of womens. Let them die as soon as possible.
Most of the troubles / crimes will be resolved without police / prosecution involvement.
I wish these kind of incidents keep happening every now and then at least 500 people should get to see the hell everyday.
This will also reduce the useless population significantly saving the resources for good people.
