Mangalore, Dec 14: Christmas celebrations were organized at Vishwas Trust, Valencia Centre for the senior citizens in the city on Tuesday December 13.
The place was beautifully decked with crib, Christmas tree and other items, enabling the festive mood and celebration to the elderly citizens. The senior citizens took part in the proceedings with lot of enthusiasm and vibrancy.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Honey Cabral, principal of Theological College said that majority of people in the world want peace and happiness. He also elaborated on the birth of Christ and the origin of Christmas festivity.
Dr Olinda Pereira, trustee, Celine Aranha and Ratna Pinto among other dignitaries were present on the occasion. Jessy Baratto welcomed the gathering.
Felcy Pinto, trust secretary delivered the vote of thanks. Lidwin Lobo compered the programme.
Cultural programmes too were organized as a part of Christmas celebrations.
