Kasargod, Dec 13: Relating to the recent recovery of fake currency notes worth ten lac rupees being transported in a car by the police, National Investigating Agency (NIA) has intensified its investigation.
These notes were reportedly meant for distribution in Kannur and Kasargod districts.
The agency has found that these notes had been printed in Pakistan and brought to India via Dubai. It strongly suspects the handiwork of terrorists in this incident.
The investigating officials visited the homes of five accused, and recorded their statements.
