Mangalore: Anadhi Shetty Wins Vivek Studio Children's Photogenic Contest

Mangalore, Dec 12: Anadhi V Shetty, daughter of Vijayendra and Poornima V Shetty, Tanisha Claire Dias, daughter of Roanne and Sammy Dias, and Aarush Shetty, son of Prashanth and Likhitha Shetty emerged the first, second and third prize winners, respectively, in the Children’s Photogenic Contest organized by Vivek Studio.
The contest marked Vivek Studio's 15th anniversary celebration and the prize distribution ceremony was held at St Sebastian Hall here on Monday December 12.
Maand Sobhann gurkar Eric Ozario, Daijiworld editor-in-chief Walter Nandalike, Anil Coelho (Annu Bejai), Arul D’Souza (Crystal studio, Shirva), Times of India photojournalist Ravi Posavanike were the chief guests on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering Ravi Posavanike appreciated Vivek Studio for organizing a photogenic contest for children below 5 years. Being one of the jury, Posavanike said that it was a tough job to select the best photo as all kids were good, healthy looking and posed smartly.
Congratulating the winners, Walter Nandalike said that Vivek Sequeira of Vivek Studio had come up through hard work. "Vivek started his career as small time photographer from Mangalore, and today is winning international awards, which is truly commendable."
Anil Coelho said that children were God's reflection on earth and that it was a difficult task judging the entries, which was done after three rounds of selection.
Eric Ozario, gurkar of Maand Sobhann launched the new website www.vivekstudio.com and said that the online portal would inform visitors about package details available in Vivek Studio for photography for various occasions. The site would showcase the creativity of Vivek Studio, he added, and urged parents to encourage their children to participate in many more contests.
Vivek Sequiera dedicated his success to his parents and studio staff for their support.
The first prize was a 14 mega pixel digital camera, second prize a 12 mega pixel digital camera, and third prize a 10 mega pixel digital camera, besides 15x20 inches photo lamination. There were also five consolation prizes.
