Mangalore, Dec 12: 'From the Eyes of the Beholder to the Writing of Creative’, an anthology of short poems, jointly penned by young poets Savney and Neha was released at Sandesha on Sunday December 11.
After releasing the book, Agnel Rodrigues, a city-based senior media person, said that lauded the creative writing skills in the young poets and thanked their parents encouraging their children.
Stephen Mascarenhas, editor, Daijiworld Weekly, was the guest of honour. He observed that poems must be published for the future generation. “Many writers suffer from various disadvantages when publishing their writings. They need encouragement. Students must concentrate on literary feelings. The process of learning is a lifelong one, and they must learn by continuing to write over and over again. Never mind others' views; whatever the thought, put on paper and one day it will come to light,” he advised.
On this occasion, poet Neha celebrated her 18th birthday. Fr Valeran Mondonca, director Sandesha, was present.
Poet Savney delivered the introductory speech while Rovina welcomed. Amora Montero compered and Neha delivered the vote of thanks.
