Mangalore, Dec 11: The joy and merriment of Christmas season commenced with the vibrant performance of 'white doves’ organized under the aegis of Father Muller Charitable Institutions in front of FMCI here on Saturday December 11 from 7.pm to 10.30 pm.
The White Doves have been enthralling the Christmas season over the last few years spreading the message of peace and joy in their mobile tableaux.
The White Doves with their mobile tableaux spotlighting the birth of Jesus came to move hearts and minds of people. The language used while propagating the Christmas message backed by music enlivened the Christmas mood. The artistic display had actors posing in authentic costumes and the performance itself was stunning and captured the hearts and minds of the spectators.
More than 135 performers performed. Several costumed ‘Santas’ danced to jingle bells, cheered the people especially children by flinging candies.
Prayer song (carol) was sung by third year BSc nursing students. Thematic dance was performed by second year BSc nursing students. FMMCH staff nurses sung Christmas carol. Fr Patrick, director, FMCI released the Christmas bulletin. In his message he wished all the people a very joyous Christmas celebrations. Mime was performed by FMHMC students. Sr Aileen distributed the lucky draw prizes. Dr B Sanjeeva Rai released Father Muller Calendar 2012. MBBS 2011 batch FMMC sung Christmas carol. Aneesha delivered the vote of thanks. Fr Denis D’Sa welcomed the white doves team.
The White Doves group chief secretary Corine Rasquinha and Wites Rasquinha were present. Kins of patients, staffs, students and others took part in the celebrations.
