Mangalore: IGP Alok Mohan Transferred, Pratap Reddy to Take Charge

Mangalore, Dec 10: Western range inspector general of police (IGP), Alok Mohan, has been transferred. However, he is yet to be given the place of his next posting.

Pratap Reddy, who was IGP in fire services, has been transferred as IGP of western range.

In the meanwhile, the government has cancelled its earlier order transferring N Shivakumar as the IGP of Human Rights Commission. Shivakumar has now been posted as the IGP and additional director general of fire and emergency services.

I have known him very closely during his initial service as Addtional SP of Karkala during 1992-1994. An able officer and dreaded by the criminals. I am looking forward to meeting him this month...
