Mangalore,Dec 9: State Bal Bhavan Society will conduct a national level kids festival called ‘Bala Srijanotsava’ at Pilikula Nisargadhamafrom January 22 to 25.
Addressing the media persons at Bal Bhavan, G K Sulochan Bhatt, chair person for State Bal Bhavan Society on Friday December 9 said that, the srijanotsava’s main aim is to spread the awareness and exchanging the multi cultural art and tradition among children. This event will be very beneficial to learn about national integration, she added.
Minimum, 3,000 children from 73 Bal Bhavans of 21 states will be participating. The participants are between the age groups of 10 to16 years, who are studying in 7th to 9th standard.
At the fest art, craft, drawing, sculpturing, paintings, yoga and traditional games competitions will be conducted. Also coastal region’s puppetry, Yakshagana, dances and kiting event like Nandagokul in the beach of Panmbur will be perfomed, Sulochana explained.
This is for the first time such a fest is being organized in the history of Bal Bhavan. BJP led state government has sanctioned RS 10 lac during the last financial year. Hence we are conducting this national level event, she said.
10 arrangement committees are appointed under the leadership of district in charge minister, Krishna Palemar and, various delegates will be participating in inaugural and valedictory event . Apart from it, science exhibition, creative art, music, Yoga performances will be conducted on all four days.
On the concluding day, story narrating, sanctuary-zoo visiting, observation of the planetary, magic show, and other interesting events will be conducting, sulochana briefed.
This bombastic ‘srijanotsava’ will be inaugurated by chief minister D V Sadananda Gawda and Dakshina Kannada district people's representatives, various officers and administrators of different departments will take part, she added.
Along with her, Praveen, mayor, MCC, Roopa D. Bangera, Corporation member, Shakuntala A, deputy director, women and child development and secretary for district Bal Bhavan, Jagdeesh Shenoy and other dignitaries were present during the press meet.
