Mangalore, Dec 7: A passenger of Matsyagandha Express train moving towards Mumbai from Mangalore fell off the train near Gorte Bridge in Bhatkal taluk on Monday December 5 evening. He stands admitted into Wenlock Hospital here.
The identity of the man could not be established. Reportedly, he had fallen off the train near the railway bridge, and was shouting for help out of agony, when localites, Nissar Ahmed Ruksuddin, and Nazir Kashmiji took him to the government hospital in Bhatkal. As he has suffered severe injuries to his head and leg, and his condition was critical, he was rushed to government Wenlock Hospital in the city later, after providing preliminary treatment. It is found that except the wrist watch, the man does not have anything on his body including railway ticket. It is suspected that his mobile phone, money etc were robbed by someone, who pushed him out of the train thereafter. The only identity mark that could be of of some help iin establishing his identity is the ‘Top Man’ label found on his shirt. He is suspected to be from Mangalore.
