Mangalore: 15th Concert of Kevin Misquit's Milestone Band Captivates Crowd

Mangalore, Dec 7: Kevin Misquith along with his band Milestone performed their 15th concert here in kalaangann to mark the 10th anniversary of Mahinyali Manchi.

Kevin Misquith was accompanied by Royston Pinto, Joshal D’souza and Ashwin Sequeira with vocals  while the band Milestone with Jackson Noronha on keyboards, Patson Pereira on Drums, Clyde Lobo on lead guitar, Rikith Soans on Bass guitar and Ashwin on Acoustic guitar scored the back ground music.

Dances were performed by Chris Misquith and group, Vithori Karkal and Kevin Misquith himself compered the event.

Songs written and composed by  Kevin Misquith along with  Poetries of eminent poets like Melwyn Rodrigues, Kishoo Barkur, HM Pernal, Wilson Kateel, Clement Fernandes, Sanjay Borkar of Goa  composed to tune and music by Kevin Misquith were performed.

Ye Moga hya kinna written by Melwyn Rodrigues and sung by Kevin recieved thunderous applause. The crowd went roaring once more after songs like kaliz bullam, Thembe Thembe, Kenna Kenna , Ye moga hya kinna, kalza thar etc . It was pleasing to see the crowd clapping and singing songs  like kalza thar, Kenna kenna, Thembe thembe along with the band.

The song  “Thees Mathi”  written by HM,  sung by Royston and Kevin was a soul stirring one. The last song of  the evening Hee Jeenn performed by Kevin was the best one which gave Goosebumps to the audience.  It was a amazing concert with young talent on display. The song content/literature was poetic and the music was melodious and high energetic which oes well with today strand. The show was quite different from regular Konkani nites, it was like a western band performing with melodious and energetic music in a very casual way which was liked by all.

There are some  more shows to come up from Kevin and team and the team is also looking for opportunities  at different places so as to reach new audiences and keep the trend going.

On the occasion, Loy Noronha released the title of Kevin’s upcoming album. The  album  titled “Thembe Thembe” will be out by this December. The team also announced a new service to reach to a wider section of Konkani music lovers.
