Mangalore, Dec 5: “In this modern era, everyone needs to lean on spirituality so as to be able to lead a peaceful life. Those who are able imbibe a fine blend of practicality and spirituality turn successful in their lives,” noted Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
He was speaking after presiding over a programme of public Satyanarayana puja and religious meeting held on Sunday at Sahyadri College at Adyar near here on Sunday December 4. The programme was organized under the aegis of Sri Kshetra Dharmastahala Village Development Project.
“One should be clear and transparent in heart and soul. Only then can divinity and spirituality get deep-rooted in him. Spirituality helps people to practice good culture, traditions and refinement, while being practical helps them to develop business, have good relationship etc,” he analyzed.
Bhandary Foundation chairman, Manjunath Bhandary, entrepreneur from Pune, Nagriguttu Rohit Shetty, Kelrai Church priest, Fr John Vaz, and a number of other dignitaries were present.
On behalf of Adyar villagers, a silver memento was presented to Heggade on this occasion. A programme of taking charge by office bearers in respect of eight newly formed self help groups was also held.
Committee secretary, Purushottama Bhandary, welcomed. Supervisor, Shivanand Pilar, read out the report. Sharat Shetty Padu presented the programme.
