Udupi District Deaf Welfare Association to celebrate 10th anniversary on Oct 26

Udupi, Oct 25: The Udupi District Deaf Welfare Association is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the Aroor Lakshmi Narayana Rao Memorial Auditorium in Ajjarkad, Udupi, on October 26.

The event will commence with an inauguration ceremony at 10 am.

The chief guest for the occasion will be MLA Yashpal Suvarna, with several other dignitaries expected to attend, including Udupi deputy commissioner Dr Vidyakumari, zilla panchayat CEO Pratheek Bayal, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows Church Fr Charles Menezes, district disabled welfare officer Rathna Suvarna, and Udupi police inspector Shridhar Satare.

Notable guests also include honorary president of the Karnataka Deaf Welfare Association K H Shankar, Glen Dias of Mandavi Builders and Promoters, Purushotham Shetty of Ujwal Developers, Subhash Kamath of Abharan Jewelers, president of the All India Deaf Sports Committee New Delhi Kumar V, president of the Karnataka State Deaf Welfare Committee K S Umashankar, along with chief secretaries H S Devaraj and G S Naveen Kumar, and principal of Vagjyothi Residential School for Visually Impaired Children Kundapur, Ravindra H.

The celebration will feature various cultural performances, a lucky draw, and a prize distribution ceremony to honor the winners of the competitions.
