Mangalore, Dec 3: “One can author books, provided he makes an earnest attempt to understand fellow men. Abdul Aziz Haq Ullal has done a fruitful effort of this,” said Karnataka state New Delhi representative V Dhananjay Kumar.
He was speaking after releasing ‘Na Kanda Khavandaru’, a Kannada book on Dr Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, during a function held at Royal Auditorium, Thokkottu, on Friday December 2. It was the third book by Abdul Aziz.
“Casteism and mistrust will not prevail if people understand each other. Trust and brotherhood brings peace to society. Helping nature and humanity also bring about cordial relations,” he added.
He also lauded the contributions of Dr Heggade to society in empowerment of rural masses, education, and the social sphere.
Karnataka Sahitya Parishat former state president Harikrishna Punaroor stressed the contributions of Dr Heggade to Tulunadu.
The people felicitated on the occasion included Mohammed Kunjatbail for his contributions to education, Ullal Mogaveer education institute correspondent Babu Bangera, artiste R K Ullal, social activist Usman Katipalla, U B Marappa and Ansar, talented student Musharaf, media person Edward, sportsman Ahmed Sajid, Choodappa Ullal and Usman Kallapu.
Ullal Chirumba Bhagavati temple managing trustee Chandrahas Ullal, Beary Sahitya Parishat president M B Abdul Rehman, and entrepreneur Ratnakar Jain were present.
Saris were distributed to the poor local women on the occasion.
Hussein Katipalla compered the programme while Abdul Aziz Haq delivered the introductory address.
