Mangalore, Dec 1: India’s first and largest community library chain(CLC), opened its first branch 'JustBooks'  at Bejai here on Monday November 28.

Chief Guest J R Lobo, executive director, Pilikula Project inaugurated the library.


Indumathi Mallya,  Renowned Gynecologist and Suma, lawyer and animal activist were the other chief guests on the occasion.

The first of its kind library chain has more than 45 branches across 5 cities covering Mumbai (Nerul, Dombivli), Bangalore, Mysore, Pune and Hyderabad.

JustBooks gives its member access to over 5 lakh books across 39 categories, popular ones being fiction, kids, cookery, romantic, literature, management and so on.

Incubated at the N S Raghavan Center for Enterpreneurship Learning (NSRCEL) – IIM, Bangalore,
JustBooks is managed by its parent company Strata Retail and Technology Services Pvt. Ltd. The
introduction of RFID Technology, first of its kind for a retail library in India, ensures convenience
and ease of access to thousands of members. JustBooks also offers a range of value added services
such as free door delivery, personalized reading recommendations and the luxury of maintaining a
personal read-next-register to queue up titles that a member wishes to read.

At JustBooks, there is a book for everyone in the family. A popular section is the Indian and

    Happy to hear about this Just Books new library which has opened recently. I read through Mr Praveen's comments about Sapna Book House, where is this in Mangalore. We buy the books and bring them to Dubai as we dont get some novels over here.

    A really good news for Book lovers. But a brief description reg. the location, terms an conditions for borrowing books etc would have been more appropriate in the article.
