Mangalore: Legal Awareness Mobile Campaign Launched in City

Mangalore, Dec 1: The Legal Awareness mobile Campaign was set to motion here on Thursday December 1, under the aegis of DK district Legal Services Authority and district administration.

Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash flagged off the Campaign at the district Court complex.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vijayaprakash said that the mobile campaign is essential to create legal awareness among the general masses.

SP Laburam said that everyone needs legal knowledge for harmonious living. The district and sessions chief judge H R Deshpande presided over the programme.

Chief civil judge R V Patil, SDM Law College principal Dr B K Ravindra, Mangalore Bar Association president S P Changappa, assistant labour commissioner Venkatesh Appayya Sindihatti, women and child welfare department deputy director Sakuntala A among others were present on the occasion.

The mobile Campaign will cover the areas across Mangalore taluk, and hold legal awareness camps in various locations, in order to educate the general masses on legal aspects.
