Bantwal, Oct 13: Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ullippadi emphasized the importance of voting responsibly during the legislative council election process, urging everyone to actively participate and support the party's candidate, youth leader Kishore Kumar. He made these remarks while inaugurating a meeting of BJP representatives from the Bantwal assembly constituency at the Sparsha Kala Mandir on Sunday.
Naik highlighted that 329 elected members are present throughout the Bantwal constituency and announced a district-level meeting scheduled for the 15th at the Bantar Bhavan in Brahmarakootlu, urging all to participate. He stressed the need for active voting without any indifference, stating, "The party has given us the opportunity to become representatives, and we must honor that responsibility in the legislative council elections."
Captain Brijesh Chowta, MP for Dakshina Kannada, reiterated the party's commitment to providing opportunities for youth, noting that the BJP extends opportunities to all communities. He called for unity in supporting Kishore Kumar to ensure his victory, emphasising that this election is about empowering workers.
The meeting was chaired by constituency president R Chennappa Kotiyan. Kishore Kumar, the legislative council candidate, expressed confidence in fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted by the party and pledged to work effectively under the guidance of senior leaders.
BJP district president Satish Kumpala remarked that by fielding a common worker as a candidate, the BJP has honoured the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. He pointed out the dire state of the Panchayat system in the state, stressing the need for funding for development projects.
Kumpala urged voters to respond decisively to the Congress government's shortcomings by supporting Kishore Kumar.
Former minister B Nagaraj Shetty and election management committee director K Ganesh Karnik provided guidance, while district contact head B Devadas Shetty discussed the voting process and election strategies.
Election co-coordinator Rakesh Rai Kadenji, former MLAs A Rukmmayya Poojari and K Padmanabha Kottari, constituency secretaries Sudarshan Baju and Shivaprasad Shetty, and election coordinators Prabhakar Prabhu and Sanjeev Poojari were also present, with Mattesh Bhandari managing the event.
