Udupi: DK District Triumphs at State Level Students’ Sports Meet

Udupi, Nov 30:
The state-level sports meet for primary and high school students held at SMS Pre-University College grounds, Brahmavar, under the aegis of the district administration, zilla panchayat, public instructions department, and S M S College, Brahmavar, concluded on Tuesday November 29.
 
MLA Raghupati Bhat, in his valedictory address, said that China’s model needs to be followed for promoting sports talent.  “The physical instructors play a vital role in identifying sports talent in students.  The sports meet gives inspiration to future athletes,” he added.


Dakshina Kannada district bagged the overall championship at the state-level sports meet for primary and high school students, which was held at Brahmavar from Saturday November 26 to November 29.
 
The district deputy director of public instruction Nagendra Madhyasta welcomed the gathering.  Block resource person Aroor Timmappa Shetty, Satishchandra Shetty, and Roshan Shetty compered the programme. 
 
Physical instructors Satyanarayan, Chandrashekar, and Gregory D’Silva were honoured on the same occasion.
