Mumbai, Nov 30: The Billavar Association organized Tulu play ‘Dada Malperapundu’ at Santa Cruz (East) on Monday November 28, as a fundraiser.
Billavar Association president Jaya C Suvarna presided over the simple stage programme on Monday evening.
Sai Care Logistics Limited chairman Surendra A Poojary was the chief guest on the occasion.
Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited chairman Vasudev R Kotian, Okkaligara Sangh Maharastra and Sai Shakti Group of Hotels chairman Narayan R Gowda, and New India Insurance Company deputy general manager Dayanand K Kallianpur were the guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Surendra Poojary said that Billavar Association plays a key role in eradicating inequalities of income in society. “It has been striving for economic empowerment of the poorest of the poor in the society,” he added.
Association vice-presidents L V Amin and C T Salian as well as women’s wing president Jayanti Varada Ullal were present on the dais.
Association vice-president Nityanand D Kotian elaborated that the funds generated by staging the play would benefit the general masses.
Pratiksha K Poojary rendered the programme. The health fund committee president Gangadar J Poojary welcomed the gathering. Honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna compered the programme while honorary secretary Ganesh K Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
