Udupi, Nov 29: The residents of Bavalikudru, near Nilavar, under the limits of Kunjalu gram panchayat, had laid a road blockade two days ago alleging that the sand mining trucks are causing havoc on rural roads.
MLA Raghupati Bhat accompanied by tahsildar Prasanna, revenue officer Raghav Shettigar, taluk panchayat CEO Manjunatayya, and other department officials arrived at the spot on Tuesday November 29 and instructed the locals to clear the road as it is causing hindrance to the general public.
Kunjalu gram panchayat president Raghuram Shetty, vice-president Rajeev Kulal, Brahmavar sub-inspector Hosakerappa, Kishore Kumar, Raghupati Brahmavar, and panchayat members were present on the occasion.
