Mangalore, Nov 29: In a complaint filed in Ullal police station near here, a woman named Ayesha said that gold ornaments worth about nine lac rupees went missing from her bag while travelling in a bus.
Ayesha, a native of Kasargod, said that she had started from her rented home, and boarded a bus at the bus stop near Yenepoya hospital in Deralakatte to visit Kasargod. She had taken gold ornaments with her for depositing them in the safe deposit locker in a bank in Kasargod, she informed. She said she noticed that the ornaments had gone missing from her bag, immediately after she alighted from her bus at Tokkottu.
“I returned home and searched every nook and corner in detail. I do not specifically remember the details of the bus by which I travelled,” she said. The fact that Ayesha had failed to notice the particulars of the city bus, which could have turned into a crucial piece of information, has been creating problems for the policemen in investigating the case further.
Ayesha’s daughter studies in Yenepoya Medical College. For facilitating daughter’s education, Ayesha had rented a house near the college.
